As we look to the future of Elkanah, there is a common theme that continues to arise. We need more space for staff and campers. With this singular problem, we see a three-phase solution
The Chapel
Phase 1 - Chapel Addition
Worship in the chapel is awe-inspiring. It's a place where the distractions of the world fade away, allowing us to hear God's voice more clearly. We want the interior of the chapel to complement its rustic exterior. On the interior, we plan to remove the paneling, showcase the logs, and upgrade the audio-visual technology. Outside, we will refinish the logs, add an exterior stage, and a new roof. This will equip the chapel to serve our campers and speakers for years to come.
Staff Housing
Phase 2 - Staff Housing
As we expand our year-round staff, we have realized that our current housing options cannot support the year-round staff needed to take Elkanah into the future. Our goal is to provide two comfortable homes for families and individuals to work and thrive at Elkanah. Tp give them a place away from the hustle and bustle of camp life. We have found an area to support these homes, but we need your help to make it a reality.
The Living Room
Phase 3 - The Camp Living Room
With the completion of the new restrooms, the center of camp can become the hub of camp activity. Our goal is to give campers and staff a safe and comfortable place to grab coffee with a friend and hang out. This building will be the camp living room, a place to hang out and connect with family and friends. This building will also provide needed housing options for our seasonal staff—a private, comfortable place to relax after a day of service.
