What is going on?

Many of us are asking this question about summer camp. Today’s answer… Day Camp is currently authorized by the State of Oregon. We recognize that only serves a small portion of our campers, and are partnering with other camps in Oregon to work with the governor’s office and Oregon Health Authority to provide safe overnight summer camp programming for our campers. We will keep you posted about overnight summer camp in Oregon. For now, we know how important it is to bring our children and youth outside and into God’s creation. We are passionate to provide a place for our children to get outside and experience all that God has for them. Summer camp at Elkanah will be amazing this year! Watch our social media for updates!

What else is going on? We want to offer more opportunities for our families throughout the year at Camp. This year we enjoyed a Valentines' weekend marriage retreat was a blessing to all that spent the day at Elkanah. Christmas at Camp blessed us with visitors eager to enjoy Elkanah in the winter. Work Weekend is scheduled for April 23-25, join us for a weekend of service to take care of some “spring cleaning” around camp to get ready for what we hope will be an amazing summer at camp.

Currently, we are applying for a grant through the Oregon State University Outdoor School Program to improve camp accessibility. The grant application process is taking much of our time these days, but we are hopeful to receive the grant funds and be able to break ground late this spring.

God continues to bless camp through people like you. 2020 brought more donations from churches and individuals than any year in recent history. THANK YOU!! From new dishwashers, laundry centers, ice machines, coffee makers, to monthly Track Crew members, God has blessed us through our donors! You are AWESOME!!

We thank God every day for you, the family of Camp Elkanah, and we hope to see you at Camp soon. Join us for work weekend, April 23-25, bring your family, don’t forget to register online. Come on up and see what is going on at Elkanah!

Blessings from your Camp Elkanah family!
